Update on Julio Jones Alabama coach Nick Saban was asked about receiver Julio Jones during Wednesday's Southeastern Conference coaches teleconference.
Saban said Monday that Jones was suffering from a bruised knee and underwent an MRI.

Jones has been practicing this week, his work load increasing as the week goes on.

"He hasn't had any setbacks," Saban said. "...Today will give us a good feel for where he is. ...It's not a long-term injury."

Jones leads top-ranked Alabama with 20 receptions for 303 yards and two touchdowns, and 16 of his receptions have gone for first downs.

The Crimson Tide will practice this afternoon, and Saban is expected to provide an additional update afterward
