Former Bama players arrested on drug charges

Tuscaloosa News- Former University of Alabama football standout DJ Hall and former walk-on Darwin Salaam were arrested at a Tuscaloosa hotel Wednesday on drug charges.

Hall and Salaam, both 24, were charged with first-degree possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance. They were released Wednesday on $30,000 bail each.

The former players, both wide receivers, were arrested at Value Place Hotel near Cracker Barrel.

Hall played on the team from 2004 to 2007. Salaam played as a walk-on until 2007. Authorities are expected to release more information later today.
