TUSCALOOSA -- Alabama is the No. 1 team in the country in at least one significant category. It's one reason all the Bowl Championship Series gurus have crimson on their pallet for painting the national championship portrait.

Seventh-ranked Alabama has the toughest future schedule in the nation among Football Bowl Subdivision teams, according to NCAA statistics. The Tide's final three FBS opponents have a combined record of 19-3, and all are ranked in every top-25 poll, including the BCS standings. Alabama also plays 5-3 Georgia State, a Football Championship Subdivision team, Nov. 18.
