UA Investigating connection between Agent and Marcell Dareus

Alabama_Logo2The University of Alabama head coach Nick Saban has confirmed that the UA compliance staff is investigating defensive end Marcell Dareus to see if he has broke any NCAA rules by attending a party earlier this summer held by an agent.
Marcell’s name has been linked to the investigation the NCAA is conducting regarding the University of North Carolina, where defensive lineman Marvin Austin has been interviewed by NCAA investigators.
Saban told ESPN.com, “Right now, agents are screwing it up,” adding,"They are taking the eligibility of players. It’s not right that those players do the wrong thing. We have a great education process here. We have full time worker who meets with players and their families and does everything else.”
As of now the investigation is said to be a institutional matter as long as he did not participate in a game while ineligible. However, it could definitely have some impact on his 2010 season.
