SEC Media Days Pre-Season All-SEC Football Team Announced

sec_logo Today at SEC media days the media members present voted to create their Pre- Season All-SEC team. Much like the coaches pre-season poll released earlier this week, Alabama leads the way with the most selections with 12 selections. The Tide had 8 selected on the first team and 4 on the second team. Second to the Tide with selections was Florida who had 3 first team selection and 7 second team selections for 10 total. Each team in the SEC had at least two players selected to the two teams.

Here is the breakdown of players selected by SEC School:
  1. Alabama- 12
  2. Florida- 10
  3. Georgia- 6
  4. Auburn- 6
  5. Kentucky- 4
  6. Arkansas- 3
  7. LSU- 2
  8. South Carolina- 2
  9. Ole Miss – 2
  10. Tennessee – 2
  11. Vanderbilt- 2
  12. Mississippi State – 2
As for those Tide players selected, the 8 first team selections include 5 offensive players and 3 defensive players. As for the second team there are 2 offensive and 1 defensive players. Interesting enough Julio Jones was actually selected as a second team return specialist. Here is the breakdown of those Tide players selected.

As mentioned before, the media members also selected the Tide to win both the SEC West and SEC Championship. Much like previous pre-season polls and rankings, the SEC media members see the Tide as the team to beat.
