Media @ SEC Media Days Picks BAMA to win the SEC

The members of the media at SEC Media Days today selected where they think the chips will fall at the end of the 2010 season. At the top of the SEC west and picked to win it all is the Alabama Crimson Tide. Here is how the votes came in.
  • SEC West:
    • 1. Alabama
    • 2. Arkansas
    • 3. Auburn
    • 4. LSU
    • 5. Mississippi State
    • 6. Ole Miss
  • SEC East:
    • 1.Florida
    • Georgia
    • South Carolina
    • Kentucky
    • Tennessee
    • Vanderbilt
If things go the way the media thinks, it looks like Alabama will meet Florida in Atlanta for the SEC Championship. The pick is for Alabama to take home the trophy again and win a second consecutive SEC Championship.
As for the prediction abilities of the media at SEC Media Days, out of 18 seasons of picks they have correctly picked the winner of the SEC four times. Last season they picked Florida to beat Alabama in the championship game. We should have a great idea of how things will work after Alabama takes on the Florida Gators and Arkansas Razorbacks early in the season.
