Alabama vs. Georgia State moved to Thursday Night

The University of Alabama announced that the game hosting Georgia State will be moved to Thursday the 18th. The move was to allow the Tide team to avoid just a six day window between Georgia State and Auburn.

In a statement from athletic director Mal Moore, he said, “We explored all options available to us, with our players' health and safety in mind. This was our best remedy. We deeply appreciate everyone's cooperation, particularly  Dr. Witt and Georgia State."

Coaching Georgia State is former Alabama coach Bill Curry. When asked about the move he said,

"This whole Alabama opportunity has been a huge boost for our program from the very beginning," Curry said. "We are fortunate to be able to play a game in Tuscaloosa, and we believe that moving from Saturday to Thursday can give it added appeal for our players and our fans because Thursday night games have become so special in college
football.

"We'll make the necessary adjustments and go play the game."

With the added drama of Star Jackson transferring to Georgia State, he will have a primetime opportunity to show the Tide they were wrong on him. Yea right… Good luck Star.
